The Pattern I See
I work with senior managers, directors, and high-level professionals who've achieved what they set out to achieve- and discovered that success doesn't feel how they thought it would.​
That feeling like you are always 'on', you have been pushing through for so long that the constant pressure feels normal and calm feels dangerous.
Your checking your emails in bed. Working through lunch. You can't have a pee break between back-to-back meetings.​
When we live like this for a long time our identity can fuse with work. We measure your worth by output and can't think about who we are when we're not being productive.
The thought of actually logging off at 5 pm feels impossible because being busy is how you prove you matter.​
Your belief system equates worthiness with earning it.
Rest must be earned through exhaustion.
Value comes from what you produce, not who you are.
